Albert Dichy France PWF 2002

Albert Dichy was born in 1952 in Beirut, Lebanon.
He is the director of literature at the Institut Mémoires de l'édition contemporaine in Paris. Dichy is the author of books, articles, radio and television programs about Jean Genet, Marguerite Duras, Kateb Yacine, Georges Schéhadé, Jacques Audiberti and Pierre Guyotat.
He is also the editor of Jean Genet's political texts, which are collected in L'Ennemi declare (The Declared Enemy), a posthumous compilation of interviews, articles, written works, speeches, and statements from the mid-1960s through the mid-1980s. All of these demonstrate Jean Genet’s political leanings, activity, and his politics of protest.
In 2002, the publishing house Gallimard released Théâtre complet, a collection of Genet’s theatrical works, co-edited by Albert Dichy and Michel Corvin.
Albert Dichy lives in Paris.
